Did you ever check the box to run in compatibility mode? Are you joined to a domain? I'd like to help figure out how this happened in the first place. We have not heard from you in a couple of days. Would you mind letting me know the result of Heath's suggestions? If you need further assistance, feel free to let me know. I will be more than happy to be of assistance. I am going to reinstall windows server because I cannot wait to get this fixed - I have to be up and running by tommorrow.
Rename following registry key before install e. I guess because I am not using setup. Dont know if this helps, but it seems that my windows updates are not installing either..
I think this may be related. So it turned out that the reason I had this problem was because Windows Update had failed to install something and had gotten corrupted - on the microsoft windows update website there was a tool to use to fix that problem.. However, when it got to the end of the visual studio install it came up with a lot of errors and I dont know if this is related to this too or.
It appears the installation failure is caused by some SQL Server components. The content you requested has been removed. Ask a question. Quick access. Search related threads. Remove From My Forums. Asked by:. Archived Forums.
