The summit camp program


















Arts, performance, athletics, outdoor education, nature, waterfront, and specialty activities are offered with the use of option within, such as selecting between a variety of arts programming areas rather than having a set schedule for a music or ceramics class.

The middle camp age group also enjoys a great deal of specialty games and activities that encourage team building and collaboration, as they are strongly desiring peer input and acceptance in a very new way.

Middle camp theme days have included activities as large as a wacky Olympics during the summer Olympics or as simple as having a pajama day- but these events create a special feeling of belonging our year old campers are uniquely craving. Evening social opportunities include talent nights and sports nights that are inclusive and encourage positive reactions towards their peers.

Campers continue to participate in a social skills development program and a program to improve executive functioning skills as a part of regular weekly program. Throughout the day many activities will be coordinated with bunks of campers up to 24 campers. Each camper is supported individually while encouraging acceptance and tolerance towards peers, use of personal coping skills, and identification of individual strengths and successes. Teens who join us at Summit in their later adolescence will participate in a program geared towards vocational and personal development referred to as the Super Teens.

This program universally serves all our older participants in all sessions. This program is comprised of three unique goal areas: social inclusion and development, vocational development, and transition to adult living skills. Volunteer to be a Summit Mountaineer. In addition to weeklong sessions, we offer two weekend overnight camps per year and several one day programs, giving families the opportunity to experience Camp Summit in a variety of different ways.

This program will replace spring break camps for Each camper who registers will receive a box from camp including materials needed for the week, a camp t shirt, and journal. During the week, your camper will have access to activity instructions with videos, and links to two Zoom calls a day with camp staff, Monday through Friday.

Deadline for registration is February 8th. Camp Summit offers weeklong camp sessions all summer long. Campers are grouped by age, providing opportunities to make friends with peers while having fun and experiencing new adventures. The fun doesn't stop after summer! Camp Summit offers the same weeklong camp fun throughout the fall.

As our campers never "age out", our fall season provides year-round, lifelong recreation and respite for our campers and families. Camp Summit is offering family camp for families to come and experience camp at a distance for a weekend.
