I seem to have a whole new set of problems. I tried all of the steps mentioned above, the only thing is that I tried it without uninstalling the VPN client beforehand which did not work, the computer was not able to 'repair' itself , because for some reason I get error which means I cannot uninstall programs.

I tried to look up somewhere what to do about this where I found that one must 'reregister the installer service' by starting in safe mode and running the cmd. But for some reason I cannot run cmd.
